EECP – specialized out-patient therapy

EECP means enhanced extended counter pulsation and this is a specialized treatment for anigma and heart failure patients. The treatment is done for one hour every day for five days in a week so in total the treatment has to be taken for 35 days. The EECP remedy is meant to stimulate the openings of the collaterals i.e. the small blood vessels by means of natural bypass around the blocked arteries. This treatment is generally administered on patients who have prolonged anigma. It is also useful for patients who do not feel any relief even after taking the nitrate related medicines. The EECP is also useful for those patients who do not require surgeries like stunting or angioplasty or bypass surgery.
The enhanced extended counter pulsation therapy is well renowned world-wide. Most of the patients prefer this therapy because it not an invasive therapy; the patient need not stay in the hospital. The best part of this therapy is that the person can quickly recover and as soon as the therapy is done the patient can get back to normal life activities. This therapy is used for out-patient treatment.
The EECP therapy helps the blood vessels to open up into small channels which form the extra branches and thus becoming a natural bypass for the heart. This in turn helps the blood to flow to the heart from the blood vessels. According to the experts the EECP therapy so far has not depicted any type of side effects to the patients. In some cases the patient may develop mild irritation on the skin or muscle pain.
